The Biltwell 100 is designed to be fun, challenging and safe. The 25-mile course we’ve laid out is very Baja like– fast, lightly whooped out and not very rocky or technical. Pits and Start-Finish will be in the same spot as last year, but expect an all new course! Logistically it’s a breeze with only one pit area at the Start-Finish that is easily accessible with motorhomes and non 4×4 vehicles.

Spectating can be done anywhere along the race course as long as you stay 150 feet from it. You are encouraged to bring a dirt bike, quad, SXS or buggy and come out and enjoy the surrounding trails before, during and after the race. Camping is “dispersed” and free of charge. This area is BLM land, so all the usual rules apply and we expect you to leave it cleaner than you found it when you leave. There will be award festivities at the start/finish area on both Saturday & Sunday night.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Class changes will not be available at event registration.

DETAILS
ADDITIONAL INFO
  • All bikes must have CA green or red OHV sticker or current street legal registration. If coming from out of state check this link on how to obtain a Nonresident OHV Use Permit.
  • Racers must be 18 years and older only
  • No “team” riding, one rider per bike, per entry
  • No class changes will be permitted at registration
  • Any class change request needs to be sent to 100@biltwellinc.com prior to March 28th to be considered
  • Men and Women’s classes start on same line but scored separately, excluding the following classes: Early Iron Endurance, Early Iron, Misfit Open, Misfit Pull-Start, Pan America, Electric Endurance, Electric
  • Racing starts at 10:00AM sharp, April 5th & April 6th 2025
  • Rubber band Grand Prix start by class, starting with fastest classes first
  • Course closes at 4:00 PM, all riders off the trail by 5:00 PM
  • Scoring by helmet transponder and traditional “fender card"
  • There will be an awards ceremony on Saturday and Sunday night. Two parties!
  • Numbers will be given to you randomly at registration. This will speed up the registration process and avoid confusion on the course for manual scoring. We will provide you with big stick on numbers that can go over your existing ones and you can peel them off after the race. This is way better than pie plates, electric tape numbers or a dozen “69’s” on the course at the same time. Just go with it, this system works.
  • The pits and starting line will be same as 2023 and 2024.

CLASSES

Now two days of racing action! Registration has sold out amazingly quick since the first Biltwell 100. We physically can’t add any more entries to a single day but we can double the capacity by opening up an additional day of racing. The vintage and weirdo classes are on Saturday and the faster, modern bike classes are on Sunday. This will allow more racers to participate and be safer for everyone.

Vintage: Classes are based on era/style of bike and rider skill level as usual. Men and Women in the same class (Dual Shock Novice for example) will generally start at the same time but will be scored separately.

Modern: Classes are determined by age group. Men and Women in the same class will start at the same time but are scored separately. Note that we have divided by smaller age groups now to make classes more competitive. This also adds more entry slots so we can get more racers registered.

ADV Lite and Heavy: Classes are meant to include riders on adventure bikes that didn’t fit neatly into previous classes. Men and Women in the same class (ADV Lite Novice for example) will start at the same time but are scored separately.

Early Iron: Thanks to Mike Davis for organizing the Early Iron class for 1960 and earlier American Motorcycles. This is a combined class where men and women are scored the same. An even tougher version has been added now – Early Iron Endurance which is the same rules but is twice as long – two laps!

Pull-start minis: Get their own class since this is SO competitive now! Pull-start engines can be any size as long as they are only started with a pull-rope mechanism.

Hooligan: Any Harley over 750CC is in the Hooligan class and only racing other Harleys. No relay teams, no professional racers. Stock frames can be modified and gusseted but must retain dual rear shocks. No full frame builds. Modified or replaced swingarms OK.

NEW CLASSES FOR 2025

Factory Scrambler: If your bike left the factory as some sort of “Scrambler” then this is for you. Open to any Triumph Scrambler, Ducati Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, Honda CL500, Yamaha SCR950, Indian FTR 1200 Rallye, Moto Morini SCR650, Husky Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401. If you don’t see your bike listed here and want to enter, please email us at 100@biltwellinc.com

Dual Sport: Street legal, single cylinder engine of any size.

Electric: “Open” is a single lap and “Endurance” is two laps. Battery swaps are allowed in Endurance class. Both are open to any motorcycle that is 100% powered by electricity. All classes get a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There will be a special award for anyone who finishes both days. Certain classes for the 100 will probably still sell out, so once we open registration you should go for it! Entries will go on sale Jan 20th, 2025. Watch Biltwell social media for more last minute updates.

CLASS NOTES

  • No class changes will be permitted at registration
  • If you won in a Novice class last year, you MUST bump up to Expert this time if you stay in the same class
  • Racers may enter only one class per day
  • The fastest classes will start first. Men and women in the same classes may start together but will be scored separately. Different classes may be combined to create a full row but racers will only be scored against riders in their own class. There will be a short break between each starting row
  • A single lap is roughly 25 miles. Classes run between 1 and 4 laps depending on age of bike and rider
