WLF Enduro started out as a small group of guys who had been riding dirt since they were kids. It has since spun into a limited gear brand with a focus on friendship and community over the traditional win on Sunday, sell on Monday ethos that has defined much of the off-road industry for years. Their motto is Further Together, which remind us of our own mantra of Ride Motorcyles, Have Fun. They’re happy going slow and helping noobs get comfortable embracing Offroad, but can definitely wick it up when the group is right.
Last month, in Johnson Valley, they put on their third annual WLF Mission as a thank you to members of our armed forces. 29 veterans from 10 states came out to get VIP treatment via camping, breakfast, lunch and dinner as a small but fun way to say thank you for their service. Husqvarna even brought out 10 of their 2019 demo bikes for the vets who didn’t have bikes or couldn’t bring their own.
Our contribution consisted of fresh brewed coffee courtesy of Black Cat as well as a complimentary set of Moto Gloves for each participant. Ellis was forced to cage Petey (his party animal alter-ego) for the trip as he woke up at zero dark thirty and played barista for the attendees.
Biltwell sponsored ripper, Micah Davis, making it look easy standing his bike up on one wheel through a set of berms.
It didn’t happen if no one got a photo. About a third of the group took a breather after conquering a rocky scramble to reach this vista point. Check out Veteran’s Back 40 (link here: https://www.vb40adv.org/ ) for another non-profit supporting our vets via two wheeled therapy.
