Northern Nevada’s (don’t call it nev-ah-da!) Caleb Denton got into the People’s Champ late as an alternate, but even as a late entry and with a broken left hand he wasn’t one to shy away from the challenge. Starting with a wrecked Police Special and a tight deadline, he figured out how to TIG-weld with a cast, overcame a lot of obstacles and leaned on family and friends that all pitched in. Many late nights and lots of hard work later, he was the first one to show up at Cook’s. The bike has tons of hand-made details, the winged tank and drag bike style rear fender among them. Dual Mikuni’s off a dirt bike required a little tuning with the altitude difference, but that didn’t slow him down a bit. Even with the short deadline, you can tell Caleb didn’t overlook any details or cut corners. Thanks for busting your ass and making it to the party, Caleb, it was great to meet you and your fam!
